Figure Drawing for ages 14+ Instructor: Jah Sunny Nov. 7 - Dec. 12 (No class Thanksgiving week 11/28) Day: Thursdays Time: 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM 5 weeks (M) $122 (NM) $134 Students bring their own supplies Develop an understanding of gesture drawing and gain knowledge of human anatomy as it applies to figure art. This course will help you perfect the drawing of specific body parts, such as hands, faces, and the full body, and master the use of shapes to construct the human form. Additionally, you'll explore how light affects the form and understand measurements in body proportions. Each class will begin with a short art history lecture on the old masters' approach to figure drawing, followed by demonstrations from Sunny. We will be using live clothed models to provide a realistic and dynamic reference for your work. All levels welcome. Class size will allow for individualized instruction.
