Description
Authorized Lifeguarded open water swim opportunities are available with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) at Lake Nokomis Main Beach and Cedar Point Beach. Nokomis swims are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 - 7:30pm, Friday and Sunday mornings 9:30am- 11:30am starting Tuesday June 14. Cedar Lake swims are Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30- 7:30pm starting Monday June 20. Our overall summer calendar is June 14 - Aug. 25. The Nokomis course is approximately a 1 mile loop. Cedar Lake is approximately 300 yards each way. Swimmers can deploy from Nokomis Main or Cedar Point Beaches. Social distancing standards must be maintained before, during, and after program participation. Upon registration for this program, participants agree to maintain social distance (6 feet) at all times. Failure to do so will result in removal from the program. All participants must be a registered club member, wear designated club cap, and comply with Club standards. Thank goodness for summers on the lake!

Face coverings are required indoors at all MPRB facilities, unless otherwise specified by MPRB as part of athletics protocol.
