Advisors: Ms. Butchy (with Ms. Glanzer) Email: laura.butchy@basisindependent.com tech week/dress rehearsals: November 14-17 Performance dates: Nov 18-20 The Drama Club is looking for enthusiastic students in Grades 6-12 who are interested in performing in or helping backstage with our fall play: ShakeSPLOSION!!! by Andrew Geha. This madcap sprint through every play written by Shakespeare includes the histories, comedies, and tragedies’ sword fights, word fights, witches, ghosts, drama, and hilarious confusion - all in 90 minutes! Auditions will be held on Tuesday, September 6, and everyone who auditions will receive a part. On that day, performers and backstage artists can sign up to rehearse on Tuesdays or Thursdays based on their availability. Students are also invited to sign up for both days, especially if they are interested in larger roles or backstage work. Performances will be November 18, 19, and 20 with required dress rehearsals the week before. All performers and backstage artists will earn credit toward being inducted into BIM’s troupe of the International Thespian Society. Please contact Ms. Laura Butchy with questions.
