Students will look at various examples of large-scale paintings and murals to better understand how artists and communities use mural as a way of communicating and expressing shared ideas. Students will then collaborate on a mural design which will be enlarged on to a large canvas using a grid. Students will then paint their mural and display their work at the end of the two-week session. During the exploratory and skill-building process, students will create smaller works of art individually. BRENDAN BOLAND holds a BFA from Emerson College and an MA from NYU.
