NOVA Makers is a special program in which members can use the NOVA Fab Lab to work on personal projects during our Open Labs. This Safety & Orientation session is for new members and is required before using any machines. Membership is only open to High School students, NOVA students, and NOVA faculty/staff. Currently, machines that are available for use include 3D printers, laser cutters, a UV flatbed printer, a large format printer/cutter, and a plastic thermoforming center. Once this session is complete, members will need to complete a Machine Certification (a separate registration and available at no cost to members) of their choice to be able to work with that machine. Costs for materials (e.g. 3D printing filament/laser cutter materials/etc.) used during Open Labs will be charged at that time and are not included in this annual membership. For more details, see the NOVA Makers Member Handbook at http://fablab.novastem.us/NOVAMakersResources. In-person at the NOVA Fab Lab (Manassas). COST OF MEMBERSHIP: NOVA College Students - FREE NOVA Faculty & Staff - FREE High School Students - $150 annual membership * We strive to make our activities affordable and accessible to as many as possible in NOVA’s service area.
