In Critters and Clay students will learn basic hand building clay techniques while drawing inspiration from the natural landscape and ranch life surrounding us. We will touch upon elements of design, texture, balance, and fundamentals of construction and glaze application This class is appropriate for beginners and returning potters. In addition to sculpting and glazing clay, students will enjoy other fun aspects of the ranch such as playing games, and visiting our animals. Students in this program are: Able to follow verbal directions in an outdoor environment with distractions Able to accept when projects don’t turn out exactly as imagined or mistakes are made Ready to be outside in all weather conditions and get dirty
