About this event
Description
We're sorry, but this class is over. The last meeting was Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
BYOB (bring your own BISQUE) to this one-day raku-firing workshop. If you're taking a ceramics class and want to fire your work outside of your normal class session, this one's for you! Limited to 200 cubic inches per student. Students will not make large or flat work with a base larger than 5 inches.
Please wear closed toe shoes, non synthetic clothing, and have hair tied or pulled back. You will be working with fire and near others that are working with fire. The space will be warm as the kiln fires to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit.
We will provide glazes, hair, sugar, and feathers for this firing! All you need to bring is your bisque!
If work is flat or large, please reach out to the program manager prior to event. Students are limited to a 5in diameter of space on the kiln shelf unless prior approval is given.
- Please wear long sleeves, pants and closed toed shoes (preferably cotton or cotton/blend).
