As parents, family members, friends, and concerned citizens in this community, let us all be brave and support the Brizzee family in their recent discovery of their daughter, Avery’s rare and terminal diagnosis of MPS III, or mucopolysaccharide disease, also known as Sanfilippo syndrome.
We have seen Avery featured in East Idaho News and Post Register articles and want her and her family to know that they do not stand alone.
We live in an amazing community that is BRAVE along with us! We are looking forward to the fundraiser Virtual 5k and 10k race called Virtual Bravery 4 Avery. This race will take place in your location. We have three goals that we want to accomplish with this race and the venue race at the Snake River Landing on September 24, 2022: 1: raise $10,000 to help cover medical expenses, 2: to show the Brizzee family that the East Idaho community (and the extended Virtual World community) supports and loves them, and 3: educating the community on this obscure disease.
Event details and schedule
As race organizers, we originally set the race date for 5-21-22, but when we found out that the Snake River Landing venue and the timing company were available 9-24-22, we decided to change the date because there is a competing Make a Wish event on 5-21-22.
Race sign up: now till race day for the Virtual Race with $25 for 5k and $35 for 10k.
More details to follow by 5-13-22.
As of 5-5-22, if you sign up for this event at the Snake River Landing location for 5-21-22, please be aware that the race in person has been delayed to 9-24-22. If you register for the 5-21-22 5k or 10k, you will have the opportunity to transfer to virtual 5k or virtual 10k at no cost or transfer your race date to 9-24-22.
