Summer Sessions: The Nature Camp team will be offering three, 1-week sessions: June 13th to 17th (Experienced), June 20th to 24th (Experienced), and June 24th to 30th (Advanced). The price for each 1-week session is $750. We are excited to again provide your child with the chance to experience the wild and urban beauty that surrounds us in the Bay Area, as well as a chance to grow through enriching outdoor biking and hiking adventures. All participants should be experienced bike riders with a multi-gear, non-electric bike who love being outdoors and learning about the places, plants, and creatures of the Bay Area. This is not a camp for beginning riders. Typically, each day will begin and end at South School and will last from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Visit the Nature Camp website for more information.


Highlights of Week 1 (June 13th to 17th): Biking to the Carolands Mansion, Biking to Filoli in Woodside, Biking around Angel Island.
Highlights of Week 2 (June 20th to 24th): Hiking in Edgewood Park, Taking the train to Stanford and biking around the campus, Exploring Ano Nuevo.
Highlights of Week 3 (June 24th to June 30th): Biking across the Golden Gate Bridge and taking the ferry back from Sausalito, Exploring Huddart Park, Biking around Angel Island, Exploring Ano Nuevo.
Nature Camp T-Shirts and Sweatshirts: Families can purchase Nature Camp’s colorful t-shirts ($18.00) and sweatshirts ($30.00) through Hillsborough Recreation.
Nature Camp Educators:
Jenelle Graville is a first grade teacher at South Hillsborough Elementary School. She enjoys exploring the biking, hiking and walking trails in our local, state and national parks.
Sally James is the teacher/librarian at South Hillsborough Elementary School. She has spent every summer at a remote cabin in British Columbia--backpacking, hiking, canoeing, biking, swimming, fishing, and creek walking in wild nature.
Perry Kittredge is an eighth grade math teacher at William H. Crocker Middle School. Perry has been an avid cyclist for his entire life, and he bicycled across the U.S. following his graduation from high school.
