About this event
The Valor Skills Football Camp at Valor Christian High School strives to provide intensive instruction for football players wishing to improve their overall skill level. We will focus on the fundamentals of the game of football with high repetition drill work and teaching from our highly qualified Valor Football Staff. This camp is for all skilled positions. It consists of 4 practice “Opportunities” that are spread over a 2 day period with two film study sessions of individual technique. This is a work camp and players should be prepared for a rigorous educational and physical experience. We are very proud of the fact that our campers return to their teams with a dynamic increase in their confidence to play the positions of: QB’s, WR’s, RB’s, TE’s, DB’s, and LB's This Skills football camp aims to teach both fundamental and advanced football skills in an energetic environment at Valor Stadium! Football coaches from Valor's staff, along with Valor student-athletes from the past and present, will take a very enthusiastic and relational approach to teach the very same drills and skills that have resulted in unmatched on-field success over the past decade in Colorado. Emphasizing the key skills every day, we will focus on safe and fun methods to teach young people how to pursue excellence in playing the greatest game in the world! The camp for 6-8th grade players will focus on a faster tempo and more advanced drill progression - allowing us to spend more time focusing on higher-level techniques. There will be an element of practice tempo and focused drill instruction that is intended to begin preparing players for football at the high school level. Additionally, we will follow the core pillars of Valor’s football program's spiritual formation, faith, family, education, and football.
