What sounds better than freshly baked warm muffins on a chilly Saturday morning? How about award winning muffins! Join Chef Sheila Crye for one of her favorites, Double Chocolate Zucchini Muffins, which won Best in Class at the Montgomery County Fair a few years ago. Don't worry if you are not a zucchini fan. The secret of this recipe is that you only taste the chocolate. Follow along step by step virtually and interact with Chef Crye, or just sit back, take notes, and enjoy watching. If you plan to cook along, please gather the necessary equipment and ingredients prior to the start of the class.
This is the perfect class for families or friends to take together. Fee is per device, not per person so gather everyone together to make a delicious treat which can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Kids must be supervised by an adult on Zoom.
How to Prepare for Your Virtual Class:
All class recipes, ingredient lists, and prep instructions will be sent via email before your class. Each class is a password-protected Zoom session. Please download Zoom at www.zoom.us and familiarize yourself with it in advance of the class. You'll receive an email with a session ID and password 60 minutes prior to your scheduled class time.
Please login to the class session prior to the start time—late attendees may not be admitted.
Please be sure your display name on Zoom matches the name of the person registered to attend. Only one device per name will be admitted and names that are not on the class roster will not be admitted.
The class fee is per device (phone, laptop, tablet) so you can have as many cooks in the kitchen as you like!
Recipes taught in class may vary slightly from those listed in the class description.
Please be advised this class does have a minimum number of students that must be registered for the class to move forward. If the minimum is not met by 3:00 p.m. the day before the class, it will be cancelled and your registration fee will be refunded. Please encourage friends and family to join!
No refunds will be granted for Let’s Cook@Casey programs unless the class is cancelled. A one-time registration transfer is available to a Let’s Cook@Casey class of equal value if the exchange request is submitted in writing to LetsCook@gaithersburgmd.gov no less than 48 hours before the scheduled program time.
