This informative walk invites participants to explore Oak Grove Cemetery as both a historic site and a living landscape. Along the route, attendees will discover the cemetery’s rich history, thoughtful design, and unique role within the community. The walk highlights notable burials, introduces its designation as an arboretum, and visits dedicated veterans’ sections that honor military service. Participants will also learn about evolving burial traditions and modern approaches to memorialization. By the end of the walk, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the cemetery’s legacy as well as its ongoing role and future plans.
