Open to ages 7-13
Join Friends of the Rappahannock for our Outdoor Learning Labs! Each time we meet we will discover and learn something new as a group.
Learn about the beauty and benefit of trees! Why are leaves green? How many types of trees are there? What animals love which trees? Why do we need them? Through games and exploration, we will answer these questions and send each family home with a sapling of their very own to plant.
All sessions include a short hike.
Wear sturdy closed toe shoes (no sandals or flip flops) Dress for the weather Bring a water bottle
Masks are recommended, not required.
Parents are welcome to tag along. Younger / Older siblings can accompany parent but must meet age requirements and be registered to participate.
