This 8-week class is tailored toward runners who are relatively comfortable running a 10k and want to ramp up for longer distances. The goals of this class include having fun exploring the forest around Corvallis and meeting new people. A range of paces will be accommodated so people looking for a social running group and who don't mind periodically stopping to wait for others will have the most fun. The routes will be hilly, and single track as much as possible.
The first week of class will be a 10k and the last week will be a 25k. Plan to have two half marathon weeks to increase confidence in the 10-13 mile range.
