Description
Walk, stroll or hike with Montgomery Explorers – an organized walking club sponsored by Montgomery Parks! This program, designed for residents 50 and better of all fitness levels and abilities, encourages participants to maintain a healthy way of life, explore unique areas of our beautiful county while engaging in a walking challenge!
Here’s how it works:
• Register to be an Explorer by visiting ACTIVEMontgomery. (Link)
• Challenges are interesting walks with points of interest with an end goal. They can be done independently and/or by walking in-person at an organized walk.
• Organized in-person walks will be held on Mondays at various locations throughout the county and led by a qualified volunteer. Logistics about these walks will be sent after registration is complete.
• Explorers will record and submit the distance walked and become eligible to qualify for specific milestone rewards! For more information, visit Montgomery Explorers webpage
