Seasonal Cake Decorating Workshop
Date: Saturday, February 11th Time: 5:00pm - approx. 7:30pm Location: Bettendorf Community Center (2204 Grant St) Fee: $70 per pair Ages: Age minimum is 16. Loved one must be 16 and above , too.
Flavor Choices: Vanilla or Chocolate (choose during registration)
Come “Share the Love” by enrolling in our Valentine’s Day themed cake decorating class! Sign up with a loved one and work together on making one, 6’’ cake that will feed up to 10 people.
Addie Corby of Little Sweets Cake Design will provide you and your loved one (at this workshop for two), step-by-step instructions and guidance through the whole process of making and decorating one 6" cake. All baked cake layers, buttercream, tools, and décor are provided, including a box for transporting your cake home.
After college, Addie taught high school ceramics for seven years. She baked in her kitchen at home for friends' and family birthdays. As a hobby baker, she soon discovered a way to combine her baking with her background in 3D ceramics design. While her cake business officially started in early 2018 with a Facebook business page, she continued teaching although her students and colleagues weren’t complaining about all the cake they got to taste. In March of 2019, she enrolled in pastry classes in Paris. It was then that she decided to retire from teaching high school art and became a full-time cake artist. She rented a commercial church kitchen to move the cakes out of the house and eventually opened her own commercial bakery/store-front in Milan, IL.
