We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Sunday, October 31, 2021.
Claws, jaws, scales and slime... Are you afraid of creatures that come out at nighttime? Critters like bats, owls, snakes, and insects may seem scary, but appearances can be deceiving! Nocturnal animals have cool adaptations that allow them to master the darkness. Join us as we celebrate these "superheroes" of the night through storytelling, science demonstrations, and live animal encounters.
Theme months at Locust Grove feature special programming and exhibits throughout the month. Visit the park any time between sunrise and sunset for self-guided hikes and displays. Specialty, naturalist-led programs require separate registration. The schedule of programming to be posted by September 15. Register for "Nocturnal Animals" to receive a complete program schedule by email.
