NEFERTITI’S DREAM KITCHEN Inspired by the notion of dreamscapes, students explore surrealism in art and architecture through artwork entitled Nefertiti’s Dream Kitchen by Jean Cappadonna Nichols. Students will learn about purposeful daydreaming as an idea-making strategy to create a temporary alternate world to explore through storytelling, collage, drawing and model making. Participants will craft a fantastical story based on Nefertiti’s Dream Kitchen, then create iterative dreamscapes to inspire the design and construction of a dream-based kitchen-inspired space for dwelling.
