Pastels are a unique, colorful and portable medium embraced by artists for centuries. Learn the history, use and Masters; their techniques, styles and application of a paint adorned by scholars and museums worldwide. Beginners will learn from A-Z the products, uses and applications. Advanced students will be challenged by new methods of expanding their skills, composition and drawing with advanced and innovative techniques. Learn to bring your painting to a sophisticated and cutting-edge level. Instructor demonstrations and critiques.Students will bring supplies. Supply list:
- FOAM CORE BOARD/CLIP
- PASTELS: BEGINNERS: 30+ REMBRANDT: 30+ NUPASTELS/GOOD VARIETY
- FOR ADVANCED STUDENTS: ANY ADDITIONAL SCHMINKE, SENNELIER, GIRAULT ETC.
- PASTEL: HARD TO SOFT VARIATION
- MASKING TAPE
- PASTEL PENCILS VARIETY
- CANSON Mittens PAD VARIOUS COLORS
- Uart 400 OR 500 SANDED PAPERS; OTHER SANDED SURFACES
- PREFERRED; 11X14” OR 12X18” AND LARGER
- VINE CHARCOAL, ERASER
- COLOR WHEEL, VALUE CHART/FINDER
- EASELS AND TABLES PROVIDED
- PHOTO REFERENCES TO PAINT WITH STRONG VALUES
