About this event

Instructor: Mila Padgett is the Director of Campus Recreation & Wellness at USC Aiken. She has an MS degree in Exercise Physiology and a BS degree in Recreation & Leisure Management. Description: Exercise is a vital component in maintaining our physical and mental health as we age. The first session will introduce four areas of exercise that will help to maintain strength, heart health, and joint mobility. Our bodies need to maintain muscle mass as we age in order to perform our daily activities. The second session, Strength Gold, will go through a strength program you can do at home to keep your body strong in order to maintain your independence for as long as possible. Strength Gold is an activity-based class so please come dressed appropriately with exercise-based shoes. Class size is limited to 15 students. Session 1 - Date: 9/15 Time: 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM Location: Business & Education Building, Room 144 Session 2 - Date: 9/22 Time: 9:15 AM – 10:00 AM Location: Business & Education Building, Room 147 (Wellness Center)
