Description
Embark on a trip to the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center in Ottawa, where the Army Corps of Engineers will lead an interesting program on lock and dam operations and the Illinois Waterway's role in our National water highway system. You'll have the chance to spot bald eagles from the wildlife viewing area overlooking Plum Island Eagle Sanctuary! Afterward, enjoy lunch at the lodge at Starved Rock State Par (at your own cost) with free time to explore. The trip fee includes transportation and a docent-led tour.
Lunch at Starved Rock is at your own cost at approximately 1:00 pm.
