Description
This is an in-person music program, held at the VSO School of Music.The Aureum Ensemble is a full-season chamber music program (September to June) designed for adults (16+) who love to play in a small ensemble setting. Coach AK Coope is a long-time member of several well-known Vancouver chamber ensembles and brings many years of experience (both coaching and performing) to each class.
Repertoire ranges from Baroque to Modern and is tailored to suit the specific instruments and players in the group. Performance opportunities will be scheduled each term and may include Winds, Brass and Percussion Department recitals, Adult Learning recitals and our own full recital.
Group size is limited to 10 players of the following instruments: 2 Flutes, 2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets, 2 French Horns, 2 Bassoons or Bass clarinets (or one of each).
While no audition is required, recommended playing level is Intermediate to Advanced.
Rehearsals are Tuesdays, 7:30pm - 9pm.
