ASIST is a two-day workshop designed to help family, friends, and community members identify someone at risk of suicide and provide them with the skills needed to make a life-saving intervention. The ASIST workshop is highly interactive, practical, and practice-orientated. It focuses on teaching suicide first-aid to help a person at risk stay safe and seek further help. This training is not recommended for anyone who has had a recent suicide loss. This workshop has been partially funded by the government of Alberta, as a result, upon completion of the workshop all registrants will be eligible for a full refund.
This information is being collected under the authority of section 33(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act. Refund and Transfer PolicyThe full registration fee will be refunded or applied to a transfer up to 14 days prior to the start of the program. Within 14 days of the program start date, a refund will not be provided.
