Description
Linn County. Travel to the prime habitat of Linn County's grasslands in search of raptors and other birds wintering there. You will focus on finding, observing, and identifying these raptors. Sightings may include bald eagles, northern harriers, rough-legged hawks, red-tailed hawks, American kestrels, and owls. Non-raptors may include large groups of tundra swans and geese, singing meadowlarks, greater yellowlegs, and a variety of ducks. Bring a sack lunch. Binoculars are highly recommended.
Departure is from the Bob Keefer Center-250 S32nd. St. Dress for the weather and walking on uneven ground. Bring a sack lunch, snacks and a drink.Thank you for traveling with Willamalane!Please do not wear fragrances on trips.
