About this event
Have you (or your child) ever dreamed of creating a video game? Well in this course, we’ll dive into game development and coding in a way that’s appropriate for elementary school aged students! Students will learn the fundamentals of coding by making fun games with Scratch, the well-known block-based coding program. During the course, we will make Obstacle Games, Trivia Games, Mystery Story games, and more. We’ll also work on enhancing writing and communication skills by sharing and explaining our games, and collaborating on group games. Together, the students will practice the techniques learned throughout the course to craft a game that can ultimately be shared with friends and family. Students don’t need any previous experience or special software; just their creativity and a laptop!
