Description
You'll learn some of the core components needed to play blues chord progressions and songs on the ukulele, including blues scales, riffs, licks, and turnarounds. Then you'll apply them as you play through some classic blues tunes on the uke. Pre-requisite: Yes, You Can Play the Ukulele Pt. 1 (or similar intro class) or be self-taught and be able to play at least 7 chords and transition between them. Bring you soprano, concert, or tenor uke (No baritone ukes, please!) a pick, and a uke capo to class. And if you have a portable music stands or book holder, bring that, too. No loaner instruments are available. Instructor: Jeff Saxon
No class 2/1. Last class on 2/15 will be held in room 102.
