Healthy Lifestyles Workshop is presented by Senior Connections and the Virginia Department of Health. Lunch will be provided if registered for BOTH sessions.
Morning session: Longevity - Healthy Lifestyle Habits with Senior Connections. The topics on living a longer life were developed at Stanford University. Led by Kathy Brown, Health and Wellness Programs Manager with Senior Connections.
Afternoon session: Where You Live Affects Your Health - Virginia Department of Health
Did you know your zip code is a greater predictor of health than your genetic code? The places we live, work, and play have a profound effect on our health and quality of life. Learn about the factors that affect the health and well-being of Chesterfield and Colonial Heights residents most and discuss the best ways to address them. Presented by Jessie Brennan, Population Health Community Coordinator with the Virginia Department of Health.
