Depart for Romney, WV, with a fast food stop along the way. Your journey will begin at Wappocomo Station, as you climb aboard the historic Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad. Starting at 2:00 p.m., you will enjoy three hours of listening to vintage diesels, while learning about the area’s rich stories, history, and wildlife, as you ride the rails on the premier narrated tourist train. Included in your charming ride, will be a delightful, 3-course lunch/early dinner with a side view from the Premium Dining Car. Continue to enjoy the scenery as you chug along the South Branch of the Potomac River, across rolling farmland, scenic valleys, and through a remote rugged canyon. Glimpse the beauty of ‘Almost Heaven West Virginia’ around each and every bend. Be ready for the chance to spot Potomac Eagle’s namesake, the American bald eagle, who reigns as King of the sky in the Potomac Highlands. Eagle sightings occur on over 90% of train excursions. After the train ride, you will depart for home with a short stop along the way. L
