This timely talk deals with how Elvis was influenced by the post-Civil War South and how he would help pave the way for the post-World War II evolution of that region and the creation of a more united nation. You will also find out how the Civil War created some of the institutions that would directly impact Elvis, such as the military draft, and the role it played on Elvis’ music and film career.
