Description
February 24March 3March 10March 176:00pm - 7:30pm
Join us for an interactive and immersive musical experience. Kirtan is call and response chanting, a musical meditation, that offers a devotional practice that helps to uplift the mind, open the heart and bring inner peace. Singing within a group offers the opportunity to experience a oneness and heart connection with the music, the other group members, and oneself. In this 4 week series we will learn about the history of Kirtan, understand the benefits of developing a chanting practice, study the words, melody & meaning of popular Sanskrit chants, as well as chant together to experience the benefits of practicing in a group setting. Harmonium accompaniment. Participants will receive a list of resources to continue their learning and deepen their practice beyond the course. No prior music experience is necessary.
