Description
Red Cross Adult & Teen swim classes are progressive classes for participants, ages 13 and older. The Adult Swimming Basics class is an introductory level that requires no previous swimming experience. All Adult classes take into consideration individual goals and aquatic experience.
The main focus of this level is basic water competency. Skills introduced in this level include:
- Breath control and submersion
- Floating on front and back
- Front crawl
- Back crawl
- Treading water
- How to recognize and help in an aquatic emergency
