Description
For individuals with a disability.Join us for Carowinds' WinterFest! We'll watch the ceremonial tree lighting, take in some shows, ride some rides (optional) and dazzle in the wonder of thousands of lights. We'll provide a pizza dinner before traveling to Carowinds and embarking on a spectacular night full of lights and fun!
Drop off and pick up will be at David B. Waymer Recreation Center. Participants are responsible for any purchases made inside Carowinds.
Last day to register is November 27.
A yearly therapeutic recreation assessment is required for registration. If the error "Missing Prerequisite: Customer qualification missing or expired for Skill TIRS Assessment Verified" appears when attempting to register, please contact staff at TIRS at TRInfo@MeckNC.Gov or 980-314-1192 to schedule a therapeutic recreation assessment.
Carowinds season pass must be presented for admission and to receive the reduced fee. Without the season pass on day of program, the Carowinds admission fee will be charged.
Pick-up & Drop-off is at the Tyvola Senior Center (2225 Tyvola Rd, Charlotte, NC). Additional money not required unless purchasing items from Carowinds.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Please note that participants should not bring bulky items to carry around with them while at Carowinds.
Note: Participants who will be riding roller coasters that wear glasses must secure them with a glasses strap in order to wear them on the rides (This is a Carowinds policy!).
