Join us for this annual 5 mile road race and enjoy a great meal after the race! The race has been run for over 30 years and has unofficially become known as "The Potato Race" for the free bag of potatoes all paticipants receive. Dedicated to it's founder and dedicated runner Dan Barry, all proceeds go to Lions Club Charities and assisting local community causes. This year's race will go towards supporting the veterans of the Veterans Home at Holyoke.
Event details and schedule
This is a beautiful fall run through the quiet town of Hatfield that begins and ends at the Lions Pavilion where a buffet line of pasta and baked potato bar awaits you and your family. Water stops are provided along the way and Lions provide direction throughout the course. Please come out in support of a great cause and find out what you've been missing!!
And don't forget your potatoes after you finish!
100% of the money raised by this event each year goes to the Lions Club Charities and local community causes. This year's race will go towards supporting the veterans of the Veterans Home at Holyoke. In addition to the race proceeds, anyone wishing to donate items to the veterans can do so the day of the race by bringing any of the items in the list in the media section of this page.
