Description
This art class will be academically driven. It will give a greater understanding of art and art vocabulary. Students will learn to identify words used in art and apply them to their work. Teaching styles and techniques will include contour lines, basic designs, gesture drawing and more.
Approx $70 Material ListParticipants to purchase or bring if you have: Pencil: Graphite pencil 2B, HB,4BCharcoal: Soft, heardPaint: Acrylic paint in various colors.Must have colors: red, yellow, and blueMust have shades: black and white.Optional:Burnt amberBurnt sienna.Ultramarine blue.Thalo blue.Brushes: Artists paint brushes of various sizes. Small, medium, and large.Including fan brush, one inch, a half inch, a quarter inch, and an ? inch in sizes Paper: Sketch pad, drawing paper, newsprint.Newsprint is optional. However, it is better for students to have, than not to.Canvas: Various sizes of student's preferences, except not larger than 4ft X 4ft.Canvas must be stretched.Tray and Palette Knives: Palette for mixing paintPalette knives.Water Container: Small water jar, and water container for dipping and rinsing paint brushes while painting.Erasers: Gum eraser and needing eraser.Sharpener.Straightedge: Ruler minimum size 12 inches, 3ft maximum size.Container for carrying your materials.Student choice.Paper towel or rag.Personal Apron.
