The purpose of the "Colonel Allensworth 5k Run/Walk for Health" is to raise support for the town of Allensworth, California. now a State Park and raise awareness about health issues which is one of the highest priorities facing California and the Country at large. In addition to the health benefits, all the proceeds from the event will benefit the park. This year marks the 116th year of the establishment of the town of Allensworth and California State Parks special events program will hold the Annual Rededication Ceremony on October 12, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. One of the days opening activities will be the 16th Annual 5k Run Walk for Health, which will take place within the park beginning at 9:00 a.m. The day will also include entertainment, guest speakers, vendors and great food!
