Description
The Buffalo Bill Museum comes to you! Goldie Griffith: The Last of the Wild West Cowgirls presented by author Kay Turnbaugh. Goldie Griffith was a famous cowgirl known for her ability to ride broncos. She married during a Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show at Madison Square Garden with a crowd of 8,000 in attendance. Goldie continued to ride horses in a variety of shows until the 1920's when she moved to the mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, where she worked on what is now the famous Caribou Ranch, trained dogs for the war, and ran a number of restaurants and businesses until her death on January 1976.
