This class is for any artist, beginner thru advanced, wishing to learn acrylic painting.
Acrylics Materials List:Easels! If you have a full size or table top easel, bring it.Jars, cups, or a small artist's water bucket for cleaning brushes. Paper towels are on hand but I suggest bringing rags for drying brushes.Paint: I strongly suggest "professional" or "artist's" grade paint Slightly cheaper lines like Liquitex Basics and Winton from Windsor Newton will work well. You will need the following colors or similar colors:- Titanium White
- Quinacridone Red
- Cadmium Yellow
- Ultramarine Blue
- Burnt umber
- Alizarin Crimson
- Cerulean or phthalo Blue
- Yellow Ochre
- Sap Green and/or Vidiridian
- Raw or Burnt Sienna
- Ivory Black
Canvas paper in a pad like Strathmore or Canson Canvas PaperPalette knife for mixing paint and palette paper with Sta-Wet palette boxA pencilBrushes- a mix of large and medium flats and filberts with smaller round and liners for details. You don't need expensive brushes to make good acrylic paintings. Some affordable brands are Winsor Newton's Cotman Series and Princeton's Snap Series. Other good choices are Utrecht, Trell and Rapheael.
