Description
NO CLASS January 20th for Martin Luther King Jr. DayNO CLASS February 17th for Presidents DayThis class is prorated.$15 LAB FEE DUE AT FIRST CLASSLearn the basic techniques of working with stained glass and create one stained glass panel (no larger than 8”x8”) FIRST CLASS ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY.Class objectives: Students will learn the following steps in the stained glass process: * create a pattern and cut glass pieces to fit pattern, * to how to properly foil a piece of glass, * how to solder pieces of glass together, * and how to cleanse and polish a finished stained glass piece. Experience level recommended: Beginner Intermediate Advanced (check all that apply) Class size min/max: (number of students): 12Students will need to purchase:• 1 pound of 60/40 solder (can be purchased at Franklin Art Glass in German Village or on Amazon)• 1 roll of 7/32” black backed, copper tape ( can be purchased at Franklin Art Glass in German Village or on Amazon) • Safety Glasses• Upon creating a pattern, students may wish to purchase colored glass that CCAC doesn’t have on hand.
