Choreographic Storytelling: The Legs of Broadway
Bain 50+Center 5470 Ruth Keeton Way Columbia, MD 21044 Organized by Howard County GovernmentAbout this event
Description
We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Thursday, August 15, 2024.
We will take a look at how the choreography and dance numbers help define and in fact make or break Broadway 'Hits' and 'Also-Rans.' What causes a Broadway show to be a long-running success and why do other excellent productions seem to not have the staying power? This class will be packed with clips from contemporary musicals, anecdotes from the experiences of the instructor and will rely on class participation and discussion.
Presented by Lisa Yanguas is a longtime dancer, choreographer, dance and Broadway theater instructor and lecturer.
