Description
Take a 3-mile hike (1.5 miles up and back) along the Appomattox River Heritage Trail. Find stone arches and old canals that reveal the rich history of this area while enjoying the views of this state designated scenic river and the natural history. Afterwards, have lunch at a local eatery in historic Petersburg, then take a short stroll to learn about the intriguing history of Pocahontas Island.Activity Family
