Join a county naturalist for a series of hikes that include both trail and off-trail (bushwhacking) exploration. At Dutch Gap, start by observing the varied waterfowl in Aiken Swamp, then head north in the bottomland to find giant cottonwood trees and a landscape shape by humans.
