Cultivated for 8,000 years, the resilient Coix lacryma-jobi plant is considered a gem of the botanical jewelry world. Learn how to use the teardrop-shaped seeds and other natural seeds to create a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece. Reconnect with this heritage grain by learning its impacts on the ritual, folklore, medicinal, and nutritional practices of many cultures. All materials will be provided; students may bring their own jewelry-making pliers. Materials fee: $45.
