DATES: Mar 6, 13, 20, 27 Instructor: Amanda Morales In this class students will explore creative patchwork without traditional piecing, planning and measurement. Instead of traditional 9-patch or 12-patch patterns, we will create composition through intuitive use of color, shape, and pattern. You will learn some techniques and methods that can lend cohesion to your work as well as tips and tricks for measurement and curves. We will work with color, shape, and repetition. We will also explore inspiration for quilted works, and how we can pull from other art forms. This class is appropriate for both experienced and beginner quilters. -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. 4 Week students have access to Open Studio time for free during the class and for up to a week after the class to put their new knowledge to practice.
