About this event
In this class series, we will explore the rich connections to be found within printmaking, collage, and fiber arts. With a focus on experimentation, this class will be an introduction to a variety of printmaking, collage composition, and fabric assembly methods. Throughout the sessions we will practice techniques of fragmenting, manipulating, and reassembling with fabric material printed with our own designs using a range of block printing and image transfer processes. Learning to design and produce material like a continuous print pattern, we will apply these to forms of textile collage such as alternative quilting methods. Students will come away from this course with knowledge of analog, fabric-based print production and mixed media collage assembly. All skill levels welcome.
