Join us for WAWA Wednesdays, a gathering spot for homeschool families and pods. Meet people you already know, or come to make new homeschool friends! Homeschoolers and their families are encouraged to meet in the backyard for lunch at noon, followed by outdoor-based learning activities. Families are also welcome to utilize the old-growth forest as an alternative classroom to facilitate a particular lesson plan with their learners. WAWA will facilitate an activity for some of the WAWA Wednesdays including: February 12 || Black Crackers Hike March 19 || Outdoor Odyssey September 17 || BioBlitz January 15, April 16, May 14, October 8, November 19, and December 17 are self-led programs. For each program, WAWA will provide materials for use including self-discovery bookbags and an inquiry station with 3-5 activities including (art, building, reading, and puzzles); materials will vary. Approximate Schedule 12:00- 1:00p || Arrival and Lunch 1:00-2:30p || Facilitated Activity 2:30-3:00p || Wrap-Up This is a completely outdoor event, please be mindful of the weather and dress appropriately. Bathrooms and emergency support will be available on-site.
