Price: $350 1st Sailor/ $175 for one additional sailor in your party Boats: CFJs, Lasers, or Fevas based on group size Skills: Capsize prevention and recovery, tacking, jibing, launching, landing, wind awareness, safety position, and basic right-of-way rules ACSC’s Learn-to-Sail class will teach you how to sail a small sailing dinghy in protected water and build your skills for bigger sailing adventures. Two weekend days, 12 hours of training, certified instructors, personal flotation devices, dinghy boats, and plenty of learning hilarity provided! Come join us! For your class, be sure to bring: - Close-toed shoes that can get wet - A jacket - Towel and change of clothes (including dry shoes) - You may need to get about thigh-deep in the water to launch/land your boat, and there's always the chance of capsizing, so post-sailing dry clothes are a must. - Lunch, snacks, and water bottle - Sunblock - Sunglasses and/or brimmed hat - Your sense of adventure! ;) ACSC will provide: - Life vests - Sail Boats - Safety Boats - Instructors with US Sailing and First Aid/CPR certifications After completing this course, you're able to participate in ACSC's Open Sail Days on Saturdays, where you can come back to cruise around in the cove and show off your new skills with friends or family.
